Missions - Big Creek Church

Big Creek Church wants to bring the light and love of Christ to the nations by caring for people in practical ways and sharing with them the Gospel of Jesus. Missions is one way we accomplish the work God has called us to do by supporting missionaries around the world, partnering with organizations sharing the gospel to every nation, equipping, supporting, and sending people across the street and around the world. The church and individuals from the congregation support a number of missionaries.

We have many missionaries who have gone out from our church family. Read about their ministries below and how you can pray for and support them.

Haiti (EFCA ReachGlobal Latin America)

David & Sharron Mathis – The vision of ReachGlobal-Haiti is to see an indigenous disciple-making, multiplying church within walking distance of every Haitian who demonstrates and engages in the transforming power of the Gospel. As missionaries with ReachGlobal, David and Sharron partner with nationals who desire the same, equipping them to minister to their people and bring change to their community. Czech Republic (EFCA Reach Global Europe)

Josh Krato – Josh serves as the English Outreach Ministries Coordinator for the ReachGlobal Prague City Team in the Czech Republic. He oversees communication and preparation of various incoming short-term American teams to Czech, helps plan English outreach events and directs weekly English clubs for high school and college-aged students. Josh also encourages, challenges and creates opportunities for Czech Christian students to serve and lead in programming intended for outreach to the unchurched. Learn more at ReachGlobal.

Malawi, Africa (Y-Malawi)

Larry and Terry Hall – Many lives in Malawi are being changed from the inside out, the cycle of poverty is being broken and communities are experiencing a fullness of life found only in Jesus. Larry Hall is the Executive Director of Y-Malawi.
They’re creating sustainable change in Malawi while sharing the heart of Jesus. In a rarely seen model, they put the village church at the center of this effort. Then support the church with local Malawian ministries who offer proven success. Change for women and girls is a key focus too. Child Evangelism Fellowship

Neil and Rita Wockenfuss – Neil and Rita serve at CEF International Headquarters in Warrenton, Missouri. CEF has ongoing ministry in nearly every nation of the world and reached over 22.8 million children last year. Neil is the financial and logistics administrator with International Ministries, and Rita is executive secretary to CEF President Reese Kauffman. The worldwide mission of CEF is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel, disciple them in the Word of God, and connect them to a local church. Contact info: rita.wockenfuss@cefonline.com

University of Missouri (Navigators)

Chris Munstermann – Chris works with college students in evangelizing and discipling. His wife, Rebecca, was a youth leader at our church for many years. Through small-group Bible studies and Life-to-Life discipleship, we come alongside people and teach them to be Christ’s followers as they study and apply the Word of God to chart their lives.
