At Big Creek, we believe everyone has been equipped to invest in God’s kingdom and has a part to play around here. We’re not just spiritual consumers, but we are contributors to the things God is doing. So we’re excited that you’re interested in joining us in the greatest mission with the greatest purpose we could put our time and energy into! Give us a little info to get the conversation going and one of our ministry leaders will get back to you in the next week or so!
Here are a few ideas, but let us know if the Lord is leading you in a new direction!
Creative/Tech – If you can play an instrument, sing, are interested in sound/lighting/video technology or want to learn, let’s talk! Or how about helping out with stage design, construction and/or setup?
Grounds – If you like to work with living things – bringing beauty to our landscaping and grounds, we can use the help!
Hospitality Team – We accept everyone right where they are and we hope to help them experience God’s love through his people in everything we do. Our hospitality team aims to put a human touch on everyone’s worship service experience and includes greeters and those who serve refreshments.
Prayer – We believe that prayer is the way that we fellowship with God and also how He ministers to us. We want to model, teach, equip, and bring comfort to our church body in prayer and through prayer. We believe what James 5:16 teaches which says that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective and that when we confess and pray for one another that healing can begin. Jesus modeled for us the importance of prayer in times alone with the Father and also taught His disciples how to pray for those in need.
Adults – There are many opportunities to minister to adults – on our Women’s team, Men’s team, as well as in small groups, classes, discipleship and behind the scenes.
Youth – If you want to make a difference in the lives of Junior and Senior High students, serving on the FUSE ministry team will give you that opportunity. We have a variety of opportunities – upfront or behind the scenes. We will help you find your place on the ministry team, resource, equip and encourage you in your ministry.
Children – If you love kids, this is the ministry for you. Our children’s team has the opportunity to share God’s love in a direct and tangible way. You have the option of working with many different age ranges. No experience is necessary-just a willingness to serve. We will find your place, equip and support you and then unleash you to make a difference in the lives of children and families. Children and Youth team members must pass a background check to protect our precious ones.
Community Ministry – Big Creek Church is making an irreplaceable impact showing God’s love to hurting people in our own backyard, such as Moscow Mills, Troy and Wentzville.
Missions – God can use you to help transform communities throughout our city and our world! We are blessed to have sent many missionaries out from our midst – from college campuses to Africa and the Czech Republic.
